INSIDE OUR RESTAURANT
Komodo Loco is a non-traditional Japanese restaurant that features dishes that derive their flavors from both Asian and Latin cooking techniques. Asian and Latin flavors are natural cooking partners. Some would call us fusion but we don’t want to be too gimmicky. Instead, we want to provide fun, fresh cuisine that tastes amazing, is unique and ultimately is not too fussy. Generally speaking, we like it when a touch of one cuisine is able to lift up another. Most of our menu is Tapas style and easily shareable.
Komodo Loco was established in 2017 by three local Denton boys with a passion for food. Kyle Krueger, Corey Bobbitt and Micah Fleck collaborated to create a concept that was creatively food focused but had an environment unlike other, more traditional Japanese restaurants. “We want Komodo Loco to be a place that you can hang out and enjoy the atmosphere as much as the food and specialty cocktails.”
“I HAVE TO GET IN TO
KOMODO AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK
OR I'LL LITERALLY DIE.”
MEET OUR MOST
The Poke Bowl
It’s basically Hawaii’s favorite food and for good reason: Poke is healthy, delicious and totally unique.
TASTED OUR BAO
We call it, “the bao,” which rhymes with wow. What we’re talking about is a Chinese steamed bun filled with pork belly or fried chicken as well as a variety of pickled veggies, herbs, and the special sauce.
Stacks on stacks of spicy tuna, avacado, serrano peppers, fried crawfish tails, creamy wasabi, eel sauce and cilantro!
